VIRTUALLY UNSTOPPABLE

In addition to in-person services we offer at True North Clinic, we also continue to provide services virtually, also known as telepsychiatry and telehealth services. These cutting-edge healthcare practices enable assessment and treatment through technology, typically by way of video conferencing. This approach opens up treatment opportunities to a wider audience, eliminating barriers like transportation or geographical constraints.

WHAT IS IOP?

Our Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) requires 9 or more hours (adolescents need 6 or more hours) per week of direct treatment. Participants benefit from individual therapy and interactive group settings where peers support and validate one another while maintaining daily responsibilities and life in the community. We currently offer in-person IOP in both Roanoke and Glen Allen, but those unable to participate in-person are welcome to our virtual group!

WHAT IS PHP?

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at True North Clinic is the most intensive treatment offered in an outpatient setting. It requires 20 or more hours per week of direct treatment involving evidence-based therapies, peer support, psychosocial education and more, while allowing participants some flexibility to stay engaged at work and home. PHP is currently only offered in-person at our Roanoke location.

WHAT IS MAT?

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services at True North Clinic are offered in combination with counseling and other supports using naltrexone, vivitrol and suboxone. MAT is intended to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms on the path to recovery.

In May of 2024 we proudly opened our newest addition to the True North Clinic continuum of SUD care in Roanoke. True North Residential, our ASAM Level 3.1 low-intensity residential program combines clinical and recovery services in a structured setting, where we aim to improve essential life skills and prepare participants for a lower level of care in their recovery journey. Stay tuned for another 3.1 residential opening later this year... in Richmond!
